Reiki

What is Reiki?

Reiki is wonderful and pleasurable, it reduces stress, reduces pain. it provides relief from depression and anxiety. it aids sleep and improves the bodies natural immune system. It will help improve your energy levels and restore a sense of inner peace and calm.

It changed my life and it can change yours.

Where does it come from?

Pronounced "Ray-Key", it is Japanese for universal life energy, and is used to describe a natural healing therapy created by Mikao Usui in the early 20th century.

After seeing people struggling with all kinds of problems in their lives, physical, psychological and emotional, he wanted to find a way of helping them all. He observed that the bodies natural healing  process (energy flow) is improved when your mind is not hampered by stress, worry or poor thinking.

The natural energy that flows through all living things and nourishes us, gives us a sense of well being, harmony and balance when it is not hampered.

He created the Reiki treatment to help the body physically, emotionally and spiritually. A system of hands on healing using intention and the natural universal energy around us and within us. Using a series of gentle, comforting hand positions a reiki practitioner will help your mind and body return to it's natural energy flow state.

As a practice, Reiki is passed on in person from master to student and most Reiki healers know their lineage all the way back to Mikao Usui.
